Hazelnut Apple Supreme
- Roast some hazelnuts in a shallow pan at about 375 until golden - about 15 minutes. Set aside
- Chop in a mini processor and set aside
- Cut the top off a squash, and take out the insides (just like for a jack o'lantern)
- Put the whole squash in the microwave, high power for 10 minutes until soft
- Fill the squash with the apple strudel filling
- Bake the filled squash at 400 for about 30 minutes.
- When serving, Sprinkle the roasted hazelnuts on top
This is an easy, eye opening, delicious dessert for a party or get together

Hi Eddie,
This is such a creative idea. Great presentation! I love it! Maybe you can make individual serving of apple pie in small pumpkins during Halloween? Yummy!
Hi Melody. Yes, I am thinking of serving the Halloween Pumpkins soon. Either the savory or dessert. Thanks for your sweet comment. The pumpkin has its texture and smell to compliment the apple filling. Serve with ice-cream. Try it out on Thanksgiving day.
